Serving the Lord at Gethsemane

Pastor Frey

Pastor Daniel Frey was born to Rev. James and Sandy Frey. Since his dad was a pastor, he always had thoughts of going into the Ministry. After graduating from Michigan Lutheran Seminary, one of the synod’s prep schools, Pastor Frey went to Martin Luther College, where he began his studies for becoming a pastor. He graduated from MLC in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary the following fall, where he spent four years. Three years on campus taking classes and a year as a vicar in Racine, WI. Upon graduation from WLS in 2008, Pastor Frey was assigned to Gethsemane in Lee’s Summit, where he has been a pastor since.

Having been born and raised in Michigan, Pastor Frey is big Michigan sports fan. He proudly roots for the Wolverines and any other Detroit team. He also enjoys playing any type of sport, especially golf or baseball.

In June of 2006, Pastor Frey was married to his wife, Angela. Angela is originally from Fond du Lac Wisconsin so she has different rooting interests in sports than Pastor. They started dating their senior year in college and were married two years later. Both Pastor and Angela are happy in Lee’s Summit and look forward to spending many years here.

Invitation from Pastor Frey

Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:7)

With these words the Apostle Paul greeted the Christians who were in Rome and with these same words I greet all of you. What wonderful words they are! They really explain why we here at Gethsemane exist. We exist to preach God’s grace and peace. God’s grace is that he loved the world so much that he sent his one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on cross. God’s peace is that Jesus Christ’s death paid for all your sins. Therefore we at Gethsemane preach this gospel message in all our services through Word and Sacrament. You are invited to attend our service at 9:30am every Sunday.

If anyone has any questions or would like to contact me you can do so by email or by phone 816-246-5192. May God’s grace and peace be with you always!
